Toivo Eric Limit passed away on June 9th 2018. Toivo was a very kind, gentle and friendly man whom would often strike up conversations with those whom he had just met and by character he could be quite playful and a jokester. He possessed a rare unconditional love for his sons and was very proud of them and he had a high ideal for fatherhood. Although his sons live in Estonia, he loved speaking with them, which was often one of the highlights of his week. Toivo was very proud of his Estonian roots. His parents Uno and Agnes immigrated from Estonia to Canada around the time of the Second World War. Toivo was educated at Whitney, Castle Frank, Northern Secondary and George Brown College where he received a diploma in Graphic Arts Printing Technology. In 1982 Toivo began to work for Toronto parks and later transitioned into working for Toronto water supply. Although he had many struggles during his lifetime, he managed to overcome many of them in spite of adversity. He was an avid F-1 racing fan, who also enjoyed motorcycling and was passionate about playing guitar. In addition to collecting racing car models, he enjoyed collecting watches. Toivo loved westerns as well, namely the Rifleman and Bonanza. He was a big fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, particularly his role in the Terminator films and he liked to work out. He will be sadly missed by his sons Aleksander and Kalle, ex-wife Petra, sister Ellen and nephew Jimmy. His memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday July 14th at Agricola Lutheran Church (25 Old York Mills Road), followed by a reception.
