My father passed away in January and we knew he never wanted to have a traditional funeral. Affordable Burials & Cremations came highly recommended to us by a friend. Still wanting to do our own due diligence, we called several well-known companies throughout the city to inquire about their services/pricing and what we could expect if we chose them. ABC was the only company who said they were sorry to hear about our loss and didn't immediately direct us to their website. This personal touch made all the difference! Fatima and the staff at ABC were professional, kind, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Their website was straightforward, and their pricing was transparent and fair. We called them many times with questions about paperwork and they were always patient and keen to assist. The information package they provided upon picking up the remains (what needs to be done, when to do it, where to mail the paperwork, etc.) was comprehensive and took all the guess work out of what needed to be done. if you are reading this, you are already having a hard time. I just came back from retrieving my wife's remains. Amanda, the person I dealt with was beyond fantastic. They have all of the paper work laid out for you, even down to the most common credit card company's phone numbers to call and cancel cards when you are up to it. It is hard to tell some one on the phone why you are calling specially if it still doesn't seem real. Having the task of claiming your loved one so organized and thought out was a true blessing. As the Estate Trustee, I was entrusted by the deceased and his family to make appropriate arrangements for his cremation and burial. While significant resources were available for a “Grand Celebration”, the deceased had requested modest arrangements be made. Honoring these wishes, I turned to Affordable Burials and Cremations, and was impressed with the ease with which all arrangements could be made, and while not an issue for me with this Estate, the value pricing. I did have one concern, which was that with such economical pricing, might the personal service and all arrangements seem “cheap”, which would not have been appropriate. I had no reason for any concern. As I dealt with ABC, their compassion and respect to my needs and the deceased were uncompromised. I came across Affordable Burials & Cremations and had seen that they were an excellent organization. The reviews are true, especially about Fatima. She was very sincere and helpful, she actually feels for you with empathy. She guided our family the whole way until the end. Our family wanted to do a Buddhist ceremony at the Chapel with more extended time than was listed on their site. She was very accommodating. The chapel was just the right size and comfortable.
