It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Wolfgang, who left us April 30, 2025 in Toronto, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wolfgang was a man of quiet strength, boundless love, and unwavering devotion. He faced life’s challenges with grace, and his illness with the same dignity and bravery that marked his every day. Through every moment of pain, he remained deeply committed to his family, offering his wisdom, laughter, and love until his final breath.
He was a devoted husband to Raquel sharing a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. As a father, to Jenny, Mark and Andrea he was a guiding light — nurturing, encouraging, and present. His children knew the depth of his love in his every word and action. As a grandfather, to Simon and Samuel he became a hero and gentle storyteller, weaving magic and warmth into the lives of his grandchildren.
To know Wolfgang was to know kindness, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, in the stories we tell, and in the lives he touched so deeply.
Though cancer may have taken his body, it never dimmed his spirit. He leaves behind a family forever changed by his love and forever grateful for the time we had together.
He will be dearly missed, always remembered, and eternally loved.
A celebration of Wolfgang’s life will be held in Ecuador, May 18th. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Humber River Foundation.
