Wayne Weaver

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my husband, the love of my Life.

Wayne Weaver passed away at home on Monday July 6, 2026 after a short, but painful

battle with Pancreatic cancer

Wayne was born in Toronto at Grace Hospital, attended Lillian Street Public School, Northmount

Junior High (now Cummer Valley Middle School) and Earl haig Secondary school

We met in 1964 as students at "the Haig". Little did we know what the future held for us.

After high school, he went on to the Provincial Institute of Trades, (now George Brown College)

where he studied electronics and television and recording engineering and received his CET.

He worked at the Willow theatre, during high school as an usher and general go to guy.

We spent many of our dates in the back row during his breaks.

After a few years at East York Board of Education, where he worked with their AV equipment,

we decided to get married.

When we got married, we promised each other 75 years - and then we would renegotiate. I

know Wayne would have said…" Let's go for another 75". Unfortunately we didn't make it.

In 1975, w e realized our single story home was too small for our growing family. So Wayne

decided to tear off the peaked roof and build a second story Mansard addition. So in the

hot summer of '75 he, with our fathers and his best friend, tore off the roof. I was

standing in the driveway with our six month old daughter, terrified he would fall. Rest

asssured he didn't and a second story rose up. I still live in this house and am in constant

awe of what he did.

He was an avid and very talented photographer and an excellent cook.

After graduating, he worked at George Brown College in the AV department. While working

there he would often audit the food services department and became good friends with the

instructors. He learned many tips and techniques of international cooking and our daughters

and I have benefited from his innate talent. And his garden contributed to the variety

of vegetables to choose from .

He also started TRACS, a group of audio engineers, recording artists and like minded people

In the early 1980's, we started a business together ((Main Frame Graphics)in the field of

Computer Graphics where we were fortunate to do business and travel the world.

When the girls were young, he loved to take us to a rented cottage in Northern Ontario. He

would pack our small car with 2 kids, a dog, all the clothes, bedding and food for 2 weeks.

Oh yes and his cameras… they were the first items in. We used to call him Mr. Tetris on how

he managed to get everything in.

Wayne was always eager to help anyone who needed, advice, guidance or just an ear.

He often spoke to clients all over the world,despite time zones, who needed help resolving

problems

He was a true friend who would help anyone who needed him. Professionally he believed

success was based on a good and honest reputation.

He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years Pam,his Sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Darshan

and his 2 daughters, Amanda Cooke, Karen MacDonald and son-in-law

Gary MacDonald, and his precious granddaughter, Emily Cooke.who he adored and was very

proud of, as well as numerous cousins, and friends whose love and support he appreciated greatly

He thought the world of his family and often said.."We are so lucky"
