It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vany, who passed away on July 8th, 2026, at the age of 86.

Vany was a woman of faith, kindness, and compassion. She loved the Lord and faithfully served her church community through her volunteer work at the Welcome Centre, where she welcomed others with warmth and a caring heart.

She was a creative and talented woman who enjoyed knitting, embroidery, drawing, and creating beautiful crafts with plastic canvas. She found joy in making things with her hands and sharing her creativity with others. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble, solving word puzzles, visiting vintage bazaars, and watching hockey.

Vany will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Sarkis, her daughter, Anie, her two brothers, and other extended family and friends who were blessed to know her.

Those who knew Vany will remember her for her thoughtfulness and the quiet ways she made a difference in the lives of others. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Family and friends are welcome to join a brief graveside service on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Duffin Meadows Cemetery, 2505 Brock Road North, Pickering, ON L1X 0K3, Section 13, Plot 99.
