Sophia Maria Okorn

It is with the deepest sadness that we share that Sophia Maria Okorn died suddenly on March 4, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born on July 13, 1958, in Leżajsk, Poland, Sophia was strong, resilient, and loving. She was a devoted mother, babcia, and friend whose kindness and love touched those around her.

Sophia was the beloved mother of Amanda and Jessica, who were the centre of her world. She was also a proud and loving babcia to her grandson, Alexander, who brought her immense joy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Maria Strojek, and her brother, Stanley Strojek.

Sophia found happiness in beautiful moments of life. She loved gardening, and she cherished time spent up north at Baptiste Lake. She also had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to laugh, especially when life was challenging or unfair.

Sophia will be remembered for her caring heart, strength, perseverance, and the love she gave her family. Her memory will live on in the lives of those who loved her and in the many moments they shared together.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
