Shirley Yamada passed away peacefully in her sleep February 3, 2025, in Toronto, On.
She was a former public-school teacher in Brampton, ON and also worked as a secretary in Toronto. She was a Member of NAJC.
She leaves behind her sister Jane Yamada of Richmond ON and her husband Shell Johanson of Costa Rica.
She had requested that a funeral not be held.
