Phyllis Loreana Markle (Lempriere)

With a profound mix of sadness and gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Phyllis Markle, at the age of 85. Phyllis was daughter of Rev Walter and Loreana Lempriere. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, David, who passed away in 2018. Phyllis was a dear Mother to Kent (Janice) and Korine (Bruce), beloved Grandmother to Chantel (Mark) and Josh and Great-Grandmother to Ava and Henry.

Phyllis was a woman of strong faith, who loved deeply and cared for others with compassion. She demonstrated a beautiful example of unwavering love and devotion as she cared for her husband for 8 difficult years during his declining health from Alzheimer’s disease. Through it all, she displayed strength, resilience and trust in God.

Phyllis was a friend to many and loved to keep in touch with phone calls, notes and cards to remember birthdays and significant occasions.

Thank you Mom/Grandma for your love, care and example of faith. You will always be in our hearts, and we will miss you immensely.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Phyllis’s life. In her memory, donations may be made to Emily’s House
