Monica Wardley (nee McHale)
Monica Wardley (nee McHale) 1926 – 2019, 92 years young, passed away peacefully on Friday April 5, 2019 at MacKenzie Health Richmond Hill, after a twelve year journey with Alzheimer’s. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes.
Monica was born in Liverpool, England. After the war, her and her husband, Peter, and children, Michael and Ruth, emigrated to Canada in 1952. Here both of them became teachers and enjoyed
raising their children.
She is survived by her 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Despite losing her son, husband and daughter, Monica still passed her days with a true joie de vivre. We all have fond memories of her dancing and singing and showing that there “was lots of life in the old gal yet!”
