Merle Rose Bell

With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Merle Rose Bell on February 9, 2026, at the age of 89. Born in Toronto, Merle lived a life centered on family, kindness, and quiet strength.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Kidd Bell. She will be deeply missed by her children Cathy, Richard, Karen, and David Garbig, and by her cherished grandchildren Gregory, Hanna, Timothy, and Matthew.

Merle’s warmth, grace, and love for her family will remain in our hearts always.

In memory of Merle, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring of 2026
