Maria Barbara Zein

Maria left us on June 22, 2025 in her 93 rd year after a full and rich life. Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward. She is survived by her sons Manfred Zein and Herbert Anton Zein. Daughter in law Susan Zein, her two grandchildren Aaron Zein and Amanda Naiker as well as her two great grandchildren Maya and Amelia Naiker. She also leaves a plethora of friends in Canada along with family in her native Austria.

Although Maria endured many years of pain and mobility challenges, remnants of a serious car accident; her love for life and those within it never wavered. She was always available for a kind and uplifting word, or a hundred. Maria always greeted all she knew, and didn’t know, with a smile and a heartfelt hello.

Maria was a very sweet, gentle and inspirational person who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

There will be no funeral or celebration of life per her request. If so inclined, please make a donation of your time and/or money to the charity of your choosing.
