Larry Green

Sadly after a prolonged illness, Larry Green died of a heart attack on January 2, 2021 at Baycrest Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged.

Larry was born in Toronto on April 8, 1940 to Anne and Fred Greenstein. Father to Marc Yamaguchi and Rosemary Green, Larry was well-loved by his daughter-in-law, Mayumi, and two granddaughters, Linka and Lisa.

A jazz saxophone player in his early years, Larry had a long, varied career in various aspects of the music business and radio across Canada. He retained his great love of jazz music to the very end of his life, listening happily to old jazz greats and classics as well as new artists.

Sincere thank you’s are extended to the staff who cared for Larry so diligently at Toronto Central LHIN; Revera Forest Hill Place; and Baycrest Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged.

No memorial events are currently scheduled due to these difficult times. A memorial to Larry will be announced in the future. To offer sympathy, you can donate to
