April 1, 1968- March 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamey Emerson Leger on March 18th 2026 at the age of 57.
Jamey was pre-deceased by his son, Tyler James Leger and by his father Norm Leger.
Jamey was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Ingrid Leger and a proud and caring father to his stepdaughter Rylee, "his little princess”.
Jamey was the cherished son of his mother, Candace Font. He was the loving brother to both Rick and Tammey Leger and a very special yet often "annoying uncle to his nieces and nephew, who held a very special place in his heart.
Jamey will be remembered for his generous spirit, his devotion to family, and the love he shared so freely with everyone around him.
Jamey had a deep passion for coaching hockey, which meant dedicating his time and energy to mentoring many young players.
Through Jamey's guidance, understanding and kindness, he was able to inspire confidence, respect, and teamwork, on and off the ice. Leaving a lasting impression on all the young men he coached and supported through the years.
That was a time in Jamey's life that he held very dear to his heart. Jamey spoke of all the boys often with pride and love in his voice and sometimes his tears.
In one player's words "Coach Jamey will always be the fearless leader of the Wolfpack-One Love.
Jamey had a heart like no other, and was extremely giving to family, friends and anyone in need. No one would go without.
When Jamey wasn't busy making a difference in someone's life, you could find him unwinding and relaxing on a lake somewhere with his rod in the water. His favorite fishing spot since childhood was Lake Nipissing. Jamey spent many summers up there as a young boy and continued to take his family and friends there to experience the family bonding and joy it brought him.
Jamey also enjoyed hunting and shared some special moments doing that with his son. He also spent time at the hunt camp with family and friends.
Though our hearts are deeply saddened by his loss, we find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his son, Tyler Leger, his father, Norman Leger, and all of his loved ones who have passed before him. He is at peace.
Jamey will be deeply missed, and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Forever in our hearts.
