Jacqueline “Jackie” Adams, retired federal administrator, jazz music enthusiast, avid traveller and lifelong Leafs and Blue Jays fan, has died at age 85 after a short illness.
After retiring from the civil service, Jackie enjoyed many years as a volunteer at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and in general she enjoyed making life better for those around her.
Daniel, the love of her life, predeceased her by mere months. Jackie was also predeceased by her brother Ray and her parents who emigrated from Devon, England to the Danforth in the early years of the last century.
Jackie is survived by her cousins and a wide circle of friends who will always remember her style, grace, fun-loving spirit and the great joy she brought to our lives.
Jackie was born on January 24, 1939 in Matachewan, Ontario, and died on June 7, 2024 in Toronto.
A celebration of her life was held on August 25th, at The Rex Hotel, 194 Queen Street West, Toronto.
