Gordon Edward Martyshuk, born on April 30, 1964, in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024. Gordon is survived by his loving spouse, Crystal, and their two beautiful daughters, Sophie and Nicola. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Lucille. Gordon was preceded in death by his father Alex and his brother Robert.

Gordon's early years were filled with a passion for sports, which he enjoyed immensely during his childhood.  After high school, Gordon pursued his education at NAIT, the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and the University of British Columbia, where he earned a Master's degree in Architecture. Along the way he made many friendships that he cherished throughout his life. He was a proud member of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and dedicated his career to architectural design, with a focus on healthcare facilities, where his work made a lasting impact.

Gordon was a creative soul. He found inspiration in unique, less conventional artistic sources and influences in design, music and art. Gordon will be remembered for his professional accomplishments, his dedication to his family, and his warm and generous spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for their exceptional kindness, support, and care during Gordon's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Princess Margaret Hospital in Gordon's memory.
