Freeman Parsons

Freeman was born on July 10, 1951 in McCivers, Newfoundland. He was the 5

th

of 16 children to Avril (Morgan) and Chesley Parsons. Freeman and his 15 siblings grew up on a farm in a small town. He eventually made his big move to Ontario where he met the love of his life, Deserie, at the Old Block House in Etobicoke. They married on February 24, 1984 and soon had their four children Cory, Kenny, Crystal and Kristan. He often said that Deserie was the biggest supporter of any adventure he chose to take on

Over the years Freeman was an avid outdoorsman whose favourite pastime was hunting or fishing with his best buddies. As the years went on and he was no longer able to partake in hunting, you could almost guarantee he was at the trailer at Pike Lake with his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends by his side. You could find them fishing, swimming and roasting marshmallows over an open fire all while listening to Cory play live guitar.

Freeman was a loyal and proud Toronto Maple Leafs fan who never missed a game on the tv.

Freeman was a devoted and hardworking family man who cherished every moment with his wife, 4 kids and 7 grandkids.

After a very long and hard battle, Freeman peacefully passed away (too soon and too young) on December 27, 2018. He will be forever missed and in our hearts
