Dorothy Rantala

It is with great sadness that our family said goodbye to Dorothy on Friday August 30, at RRC hospital in North York, Ontario at the age of 85. 

Beloved and dedicated wife to Raimo (Ray) Rantala of 62 years, loving mother to Elizabeth who is also in heaven and youngest daughter Cheryl Rantala. Cherished by her Grandchildren Christina Perry (Husband Simon) and Chantelle Robertson (Husband Hadi), and Great grandmother to Samson (Christina and Simon's son).

Survived by her Sister Susan Anderson, sister in law to Vicki Anderson (predeceased by her brother Robert Anderson), John Anderson, Laurence Lyons, sister Evelyn Handorgan Ann Checkley, Alice Younie, and Lee Anderson.

Her parents Walter Anderson and mother Eliza Grey of Uppsala.

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends especially Lisa and Walter Strasser who have been in our family since meeting at Ray & Dorothy’s wedding.

Dorothy was an amazing supportive mother, friend, grandmother she loved watching hockey with me we travelled a lot these last years, she was a hairstylist in her career, and she will be deeply missed 

A Celebration of life in Dorothy's Memory will be planned in the near future.
