Donald Lenord Thomas Ostler January 21, 1932 – November 11, 2021
Don passed away peacefully at home in his residence at Delmanor Wyndord on November 11, 2021. He is predeceased by his wife Joyce, brother Raymond and sister Lorraine. After travelling the world for a decade serving his country in the Royal Canadian Navy Don returned to Toronto where he and Joyce settled down to raise a family. Don worked for the IAO for 30 years before retiring and focusing on his passion for golf. When he could no longer play golf he could be found watching golf on TV. He loved to read and sing and was always encouraged to sing all the old Irish folk songs for the family. He is will be missed by his children Sandra and Mark and his adoring granddaughters Mackenzie and Tristan who lovingly called him “Poppa Canard”. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Delmanor for their kindness and care for Don.
There will be no public funeral service. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
