It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Christine on March 11th at Toronto General Hospital.
Christine will be lovingly remembered and truly missed by her entire Sherbourne Health Team family and the LGBTQ Community.
Special thanks to Dr. Bourns, Dr. Tam and Ashley. Many thanks to all who let Christine into their lives at the clinic.
Christine had many unfair medical challenges that the Sherbourne Clinic team helped her through. Christine was family to them.
Over 15 years ago Christine became part of the LGBTQ Community. Christine was transgender and tried to live a life that still to this day many do not understand or accept. All Christine wanted in life was to be loved and accepted.
Christine is survived by her loving mother Adele Elliott, loving father Howard Elliott (Teresa) deceased. Terry was also a very loving mother to Christine and very supportive in everything Christine was about. Also survived by her siblings Craig Elliott (Patricia) Loreen Gowing (Kelly) Louise Gill (Rick) Darryld Elliott (Lee) Howie Elliott (Victoria) Tyler Elliott, Courtney Elliott. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by all grandparents.
We are truly grateful for the compassion at Toronto General Hospital regarding Christine’s final wishes and allowing us to help Christine fulfill and finish her Journey. Thank you so much Dr. Myron Cybul for making Christine’s wishes come true. You can now rest beautiful.
Many thanks to the Cardiac CCU Unit and a very special thank you to Dr. Victoria Myers for her help in being such a strong and beautiful advocate for Christine.
Cremation has taken place. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery family plot.
