It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to our dear sister Christina who passed away unexpectedly at Humber River Hospital on September 5th 2024. Her family hopes she is now at peace, her body and soul now free to soar and know no more pain.
She will be joining our mom and dad, Joseph and Rita Milarchuk (Valade) and will be deeply missed by her sisters Debbie and Tammy, brother Darren and sister=in-law Paula; her nieces Carling and Bryana; and nephews Joey, Eric (Samara), Darren (DJ) and Justin, as well as and extended family and friends. Adored by Jasmine and Mickey, her furry friends are pining for their favourite play-pal and cuddle bug.
Christine was born in Sudbury. My clearest memories of that time is picking blueberries together, camping, roasting marshmallows and building forts in the nearby fields. We moved to Grimsby in late elementary school; and after graduating high school Christine left for the big city of Toronto where she studied Hospitality Administration & Management at Centennial College and worked part-time at Cineplex or “Silly-Plex” as she liked to call it; both suited to her vivacious personality. Later on, much of her career later on was in the Financial Services sector in roles such as office administration and executive assistant.
Christina was a romantic all her life, a lover of movies and avid reader of Harlequin and other romance novels. She dreamed of building her dream home and travelling to sunny destinations. Unfortunately she was not able to make those dreams become reality while she was with us, but we hope she’s now able to flit here-and-there, enjoying all the world has to offer.
She was a loyal friend and devoted care giver to her sister Tammy these last years; a peace-maker who often put others needs before her own. She was generous and kind…and gave the best bear hugs ever!
Dear Christina, you will always be remembered and forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of life in Christine’s Memory will be planned in the near future.
