Remembering Carey Headon

Carey William Headon was born in Wainwright, Alberta to Doreen (Neudorf) and Bill Headon, one month early. And so began his lifelong commitment to punctuality.

Highlights of his childhood included swimming, camping, Saturday matinees, and the birth of his sister, Jackie, who was always younger and prettier. He had many fond memories of time with the Milton clan. His later youth led to parties, cars, working, and the nickname Hank (origin unknown).

Carey loved morning coffee, socializing, curling, golfing, traveling, Denzell Washington movies, Alan Jackson, rum and cokes, and being right. His granddaughters Clara, Dani, and Alaine had him wrapped around their fingers.

He despised tardiness, a change in plans, being interrupted, and having his feet touched.

He was loyal and stubborn. He excelled at organizing, worrying, being early, and knowing what everyone else should do.

He was renowned for his lack of patience, giving his opinion, his sense of humor, and solving the world’s problems (after a few rum & cokes).

He is survived by his wife Angela, daughters Ashley (Dean) Sigmund & Tasha (Luke) Wile and son Chad, grandchildren Dylan, Ryder, Harmony, Clara, Dani, and Alaine, and sister Jackie (Lorne).

He worked hard, played hard, and gathered many friends & memories along the way. His life was rich. Raise a glass in his memory, while he finally gets to enjoy endless cups of coffee with his beloved mom.
