Beverly Anne Mills

October 17, 1945 — May 3, 2025

On Saturday May 3rd, 2025, Beverly became one of our angels!
Born on October 17th, 1945 in Pleasant Valley, Pictou County!
Bev spent her younger years there until she moved to Toronto, to find her new path in life!
Bev was a loving aunt to Roberta(Jeff) Halifax, Tamara(Chad) Halifax, Gordie(Kim) Westville, Travis Hayter(Alberta), great aunt to Nicholas, Elizabeth(Logan), Ashton Sutherland, Reid Sutherland and Makennah Stein! She was also the great great aunt to Laurence!
Bev is also survived by her brother Gordon Sutherland(New Glasgow), sister-in-law, Margaret Sutherland(Pleasant Valley), and many cousins and her dear friends, Mel(Barrie), Richard(Toronto) and Carolyn(Toronto)!
Beverly was predeceased by her parents Bessie and Gordon Sutherland, brother Robert Sutherland, sister Phyllis Hayter, sister-in-law Betty Jean Sutherland, brother-in-law Sheldon Hayter, and very dear friends, Audrey and George!
Bev found her niche when she joined the Air Canada team, travelling with the Jays and the Leaf teams, to many cities over the years until her retirement!
Upon her retirement, you could find Bev with a great book and an Olands beer, and always a Jays, Leaf’s, or Bills game on tv!
Her love of these teams was something everyone knew!
Bev always planned her trips home to NS around the May long weekend, so she could enjoy her yummy market lobsters! She looked forward to this trip every year!
Some of her fondest memories were visiting Audrey in Nfld, and spending quality time with her friend!
Bev and her sister Phyllis took an Alaskan cruise together, and it was talked about for years after, because as much as Bev spent many hours on air planes, she had never been on a boat that large, as she always said!
Another highlight was a trip her and Phyllis took for 3 weeks touring Nfld, staying at many Bed and Breakfast places, and thoroughly enjoying the Newfie hospitality!
Bev had a larger than life mentality, and her quick wit and humor will be greatly missed!
Bev’s wishes of cremation have taken place and her ashes will be scattered over her childhood homestead!
No service as per her request, but to anyone who knew and loved her, please raise a glass and say “Cheers, until we meet again”, to an amazing lady, who’s memory will always be cherished and her spirit greatly missed!
