Beverley Ann
Henderson
August 23, 1940 – April 25, 2026
Beverley passed away peacefully at the age of 85 surrounded by her family.
Loving mother to Michael (Doris, predeceased) Gregory (Kathy) and Cassandra (Paul). She was Grandmother to Amanda, Stephanie (Dave) and Tyler.
Bev was a member of the RCAF; having served 8 years in Petawawa. Serving her country was Bev’s proudest personal achievement. Bev’s career path spanned several decades, most notably with the Toronto Telegram, Air Canada and The Winnipeg Children’s Festival. Bev grew up in Scarborough, ONT and attended R.H. King Collegiate. Bev was a longtime supporter of the Scott Mission in Toronto for over 30 years.
Many words have been used to describe Bev – colorful, tough nut, big personality, heart of gold, the list goes on. Bev marched to the beat of her own drummer, was never afraid to speak her mind and would give you the shirt of her back if you were in a bad way. Bev was many things to many people – to us she was “Ma”.
Bev would not want tears; she would only want her time on Earth to be remembered as knowing the Toronto Blue Jays and reading were her passions and that her children and grandchildren were her biggest priority. Bev will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most, she has left a void that will be difficult to fill.
At Bev’s request, no services were held.
