Arthur “Sonny” James Munroe, aged 85, passed away on July 16th, 2026 in Mississauga Trillium Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Debbie and stepson Michael, he will be dearly missed by his son Ron Munroe (Sean Melmer), daughter Shelley Munroe, grand-daughter Taylor (Simon Infantino) great grand-daughters Hayden, Sophie and Quinn, stepson Brian Niezen and his surviving brothers Mannie and John and sisters Viola and Betty, many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime family friends.

He enjoyed all sports and particularly enjoyed nothing more than a day at the races with Debbie. All animals, big and small, held a dear place in his heart – always taking care of them.

The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Mississauga Hospital for their compassion and care.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mississauga Humane Society for the love of animals.
