Miriam “Mim” Wentworth Sanderson (née House)

Miriam “Mim” Wentworth Sanderson (née House) passed away on June 29, 2022 just a few months shy of her 98th birthday.
Mim had a passion for all sports, especially playing tennis and curling. As a fan, the Blue Jays and Raptors ruled (after she passed we found a Raptors schedule in her purse).
Mim also enjoyed doing the cryptic crossword, and was an avid gardener.
She had a great sense of humour and a flare for writing, which was exhibited in all three of her boys’ essays, speeches and book reports.
Mim was predeceased by brothers Eric, Peter, her sister Grace and survived by her sister Pam.
She is also predeceased by her husband George “Sandy” and will be lovingly remembered by her sons Eric ( Anne), Bryan ( Lisa) & Paul (Andrea)
Mim will be missed by her 6 Grand Children, 7 Great Grand Children and daughter in-law Jody.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

Ordinary people would turn on the TV and have a Grey Cup party. Extrodinary Aunt Mim would tell stories how she tried to create the stadium environment;
Turn off the heat, open the doors and windows, put on coats and blankets and serve hot dogs. Someone who truly made the world a better place. I am sorry for your loss.

To all the Sandys and especially Paul,
I never met your mother, but from her photo and what you wrote about her, she was a woman of great character. Her spirit of fun lives on in her wonderful sons. My condolences and love to all the family.
