Luksmi Narayan (Narain) Teeluckdharry
In loving memory of Luksmi Narayan (Narain) Teeluckdharry, 84 years old, of Toronto, ON, who passed away on May 22, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Narain was born on November 9, 1938 to Simadree and Pyndamah Teeluckdharry in Mauritius. After studying accounting, he worked for the Government of Mauritius as an auditor. He loved it and would end up staying in this department for over 35 years, rising through the ranks the entire time. Narain was married to Renu in 1964 and they were with each other through all of his life’s ups and downs.
Narain and Renu would go on to have 2 children, Kritan and Kevin. Narain was a wonderful and devoted father, husband, and grandfather. He always taught his loved ones to be honest, to stand tall, be proud, and know that we should live a life of integrity. He never failed to remind us to file our taxes on time!!! When Narain wasn’t working, he could be found gardening, and reading. He was an avid reader of classics by Shakespeare.
Narain is survived by his wife Renu; his sons Kritan, and Kevin; his daughters-in-law Deepa, and Sonia; and his grandchildren Shivam, Dhilan, Natasha, Saina, and Eeshan.
