Debbie Munroe

(March 31, 1955 – May 21, 2022)
On a beautiful Spring morning, Debbie Munroe (née Lawrence) passed away after a courageous battle, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice, Etobicoke, in the loving care of her beloved husband Sonny and devoted sister Barbara.
Predeceased by her Father, Ronald Lawrence and her beloved son, Michael Niezen.
Beloved and devoted wife of Arthur “Sonny” Munroe for 25 years this August. Endlessly proud and loving Mother of Brian Niezen. Dear daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Lawrence and survived by her sisters and brothers, Barbara Lawrence, Judy Rhyno, Ron Lawrence and Geoff Lawrence.
Dearly missed by her stepchildren and grandchildren, Ron Munroe (Sean Melmer), Shelley Campbell (Randy Lis), Taylor, Simon, Hayden and Sophie Infantino, Sister-in-Law Diane Niezen (Shelagh Rocchi), many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime family friends, Loretta Young and James Kline.
A beautiful, gentle, compassionate spirit who enjoyed nothing more than a day at the races in the company of her family, Debbie was a lifelong lover of all of Nature’s creatures, great and small, and most especially, her adoring Tiki.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Dorothy Ley Hospice, Dr. Nadia Salvo, Dr. Pei Pei Zheng and all of the nurses for their compassion and care generously provided to Debbie over these last few weeks.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Hamilton. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice or the Mississauga Humane Society for the love of animals.
